Who is Max?

MaxAn Australian now residing in Christchurch, Max Marriott works in retail wine management having recently completed a degree in viticulture and oenology at Lincoln University. A self-diagnosed Riesling tragic with a bent for all things soil, he has a special affinity for artisan winegrowing and a strong interest in geology. His wine experience to date has included vintage with Tamar Ridge and Rosevears Estate in Tasmania, with extensive domestic work for the likes of Felton Road and Neudorf Vineyards. He writes periodically for Faifax Media in New Zealand and also contributes to Campbell Mattinson’s Wine Front in Australia. Vinoculation is his independent outlet for idle musings on all things wine.
